As in the United States, France recently celebrated its national Father’s Day (La Fête des Pères). And, since we arrived last September, I've been lucky to meet some truly exceptional Dads, here in Lyon.
So here is a small tribute to some of the terrific Dads with whom I’ve been lucky to become friends in our new county.
I have found that, in general, the Dads here in France are openly affectionate with their kids, and it’s a really refreshing and inspiring thing to see.
These are only some of the many first-rate Dads whom we’ve encountered, here. They are wonderful people, and I’m a better person for having become friends with them. Thanks, guys!
It's a wonderful thing to know that there is this kind of love in a world that can often seem full of dark news.
And, here's to the one who broke the mold... (thanks, Dad:)
